Aminu joined the Goodfellow Lab in October 2014 to work on novel sensing mechanisms of non-enveloped viruses. Before that, he graduated with a medical degree from Bayero University, Kano (Nigeria) in 2010, and a masters in immunology from the University of Oxford in 2014. In Oxford, he spent 4 months in the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research where he worked on Mucosal-Associated Invariant T (MAIT) cells in the Klenerman lab.
