Lister Institute Summer Studentship 2018

The Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge is hosting a Lister Institute Summer Studentship in 2018. This Scheme is targeted specifically at medical, veterinary of biological science students who are considering a future in academic research as it is an ideal opportunity to find out what research is really like.

The opportunity is aimed at undergraduates who are likely to be at the end of their second year.  The student will join the research group of Professor Geoffrey L Smith, FRS and undertake a hands-on research project for 8 -10 weeks during the summer vacation.  At the end of the project the student will be expected to give a short talk and produce a written report.

The Summer Studentship is open to undergraduates who are UK or EU nationals, or who have UK residence qualifications, and to overseas students who are attending a British University for full time education with valid student visa for the period of the Summer Studentship, or who have valid Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visa. An award of £200 per week will be made to cover accommodation and living costs
