Microarray Research
Our research is focused on the gene expression changes associated the host-parasite interaction. We are using an in vitro tissue culture model to investigate strain differences, effect of infection and egression on the host and parasite. We are also working on the development of statistically based microarray analysis methods and software in collaboration with WR Gilks and BD Tom at the MRC Biostatistics unit based in Cambridge. In an effort to optimize protocols, we have also been involved in product development with several companies, including the use and optimization of reverse transcription enzymes in microarray experiments.
