In Memory of Jenny Connor

Her loving kindness and concern for those of us who had the privilege of knowing and interacting with her will forever remain a shining example for the rest of our lives

Dr Joseph Mwatha. Kenya Medical Research Institute, Nairobi.

Jenny Connor worked with us in the Schistosomiasis Research Group from 1981 until 2006. At the time for her retirement she was the longest serving member of the group, beating Anthony Butterworth and Frances Jones by some 10 years, and David Dunne by 3 years. All this time Jenny was the generous, supportive, and happy heart of the group. She was the most genuinely kind and cheerful friend to all of us and our colleagues around the world. She fought her cancer long, hard and with tremendous openness and honesty, while still being concerned for and considerate of all those around her. Jenny was one of the world’s really wonderful people. We miss her very much, and our thoughts are with Keith, Karen and Clare and the rest of Jenny’s family.
