This page accompanies a description of a completion of a Ski Tour from Chamonix to Saas Fee carried out at the end of March 1999. You can see a set of photographs from the trip on the main page. During the trip I was collecting altitude data using a Casio Alti-Thermo (model 950 ALT 6000) altimeter wrist watch in auto mode collecting data at 15 minute intervals. The data was converted to graphs of altitude in metres againt time in hours using the PipeDream spreadsheet running on an Acorn RiscPC.

An altitude profile is not available, but we left the Trient Hut at 9.00am and we stopped at a cafe in Champex at 11.30am. Later we caught the bus to Verbier and had lunch before catching a ski lift up at 4.09pm and traversed across to the Mont Fort Hut arriving at 5.30pm
