Dr John Xuereb
Research description
Dr Xuereb is lead consultant neuropathologist at Addenbrooke's NHS Foundation Trust and neuropathologist to the Cambridge Brain Bank Laboratory(CBBL) which supports human brain tissue donor programmes in both community and clinic settings. Several scientific collaborations exist with researchers in Cambridge, including Dr Peter Nestor and Dr James Rowe (University Department of Clinical Neurosciences), and Dr Maria Spillantini (MRC Centre for Brain Repair). External collaborations are established with Professor John Hodges and Dr Glenda Halliday (Sydney, Australia) and Dr Thomas Bak (Edinburgh). The common research interest of these collaborations is neurodegenerative disease, particularly frontotemporal dementia.
