Health and Safety Training
The Department is committed to meeting and identifying safety training needs for staff and students. The arrangements in place are:
Welcome/Induction Packs
Each new graduate student, new employee and visitor to the Department is issued with a Welcome/Induction Pack which details information about arrangements and facilities in the Department, and an induction checklist which identifies areas of safety training/information. In addition, the pack also makes reference to the Departmental Safety Manual which all new members to the Department are required to read and to sign the enclosed Safety Regulations Agreement Form.
A Personal Safety Training Record is also included in the pack and all individuals are required to complete this card after they have completed any safety training or completed risk assessments, and to retain it as a personal safety training record.
Safety Training Courses
